19th April 2010: Liverpool - West Ham
LIVERPOOL
Liverpool need a victory to keep alive their hopes of a fourth-placed finish while West Ham United are fighting for survival.
The team is one of the best playing at home with 40 goals scored and just 13 conceeded.
Liverpool striker Fernando Torres is a doubt for the visit of West Ham on Monday.
The Spain international missed last weekend's goalless draw against Fulham after flying to Barcelona to have a knee injury assessed by a specialist.
Having returned to Merseyside for the Hillsborough memorial service he was due to fly out to Spain for another examination by the surgeon who operated on the knee in January but the closure of British airspace for the volcanic ash cloud has delayed that.
Benitez will not consider playing Torres until he has had another examination, which puts his participation against West Ham in doubt.
Defenders Emiliano Insua and Fabio Aurelio are both still out so Daniel Agger is set to continue at left-back.

WEST HAM
Not an impressive match the last one, against Sunderland at home, but still good for morale as Zola said: "The players put a lot of passion in. We got the three points we needed and deserved. Defensively the players really performed well. Everyone helped - the midfielders and the strikers. When that happens, then you have a possibility of doing well. We've improved our position but there is still a long way but we need to maintain our focus. The circumstances can change completely, but we made a lot of sacrifice to make things change. The three points will give us a boost in confidence."
West Ham midfielder Scott Parker is suspended for Monday's Barclays Premier League match with Liverpool as he completes his two-match ban.
Luis Boa Morte is close to full fitness after recovering from a knee injury but will not be risked at Anfield despite having played for the reserves.
Kieron Dyer (hamstring), Herita Ilunga (knee), Jack Collison (knee) and James Tomkins (ankle) are out but Mido is back after missing the 1-0 victory over Sunderland through illness.

VERDICT
Even without Torres Liverpool is just another level comparing to West Ham. So I can see Liverpool win, covering the asian handicap.
