29th november 2009: Wolves - Birmingham

WOLVES
"I thought we started well - that sounds hollow after getting beaten 4-0. But if you give Chelsea two goals you are in for a difficult afternoon. We are in a relegation battle from now on. We might as well understand that and get on with it." - McCarthy.
It seem Wolves went in London knowing already the result and didn't risk some player against Chelsea to have them ready for Birmingham.

Wolves' record signing Kevin Doyle will return to the squad for Sunday's Barclays Premier League derby with Birmingham at Molineux.
Mick McCarthy's £6.5m summer capture was rested for the match at Chelsea last weekend following his exertions with the Republic of Ireland during their World Cup play-off with France

BIRMINGHAM
Lee Bowyer produced one of the rare moments of quality to earn victory for Birmingham City and end Fulham's five-match unbeaten run in the Barclays Premier League at rainswept St Andrew's.
The former England midfielder produced a neat finish after 16 minutes as City took their points tally to eight from the last four fixtures.
For this match Birmingham will again be without striker Garry O'Connor and on-loan Sunderland midfielder Teemu Tainio.
O'Connor has undergone surgery on a hip problem and will be out of action for several months while Tainio will require a knee operation which will also sideline him for a lengthy period.
Club captain Damien Johnson is available after a hamstring injury but is likely to be on the substitutes' bench after the loaning out of Jordon Mutch to Hereford.

VERDICT
Birmingham is a bit favourite here considering the past result and team's form, but Wolves are looking for a desperate victory and they seem to point everything to this match with Doyle and McCarthy rested and ready.
Could be an upset here, I would go for a small bet on Birmingham to win or a correct score 1-1
